VELA’s Bantam B team took the silver medal at the first ever Bantam Rust Buster Tournament over the April 13-15 weekend. While they played their hearts out in that final game and showed tremendous grit and perseverance, they couldn’t hold on to a very skilled and much bigger Peninsula team. Well done Eagles!! Awesome opening tournament.
VELA’s PWB team traveled to the Canada Day tournament in Calgary, and participated in the biggest youth sporting tournament in North America. With 112 teams spanning from Peewee to Midget, it’s absolute organized chaos!! Very cool experience. Our boys showed very well and wond their first two games, but came up a bit short in their final game finishing fifth overall in their pool of 14 teams.
An awesome weekend of lacrosse!
VELA’s Peewee B team brought the silver medal home from the Capt Cook Tournament hosted by JDF over the May 25-28 weekend. Every game was a tough battle with super close final scores. Our boys were unfortunately unable to hang on in the final game and lost a close one to JDF B2 3:5, and secured the silver medal.
A great result! Congratulations!!
Huge congratulations to the Bantam girls for their success at the Adanac Challenge in Coquitlam. They had some tough competition through the round robin games and advanced to the finals against the host Coquitlam side where they prevailed 6:2. Awesome weekend for them :)
