VELA Peewee Boys Make Team BC
Congrats to our 2 VELA Peewee boys Jordan Alexander and Cadel Gourlay who were recently selected to Team BC.
Making this team is a major accomplishment with a 2 stage selection process ending with a full 3 days training camp attended by over 80 of the top Peewee players in the province. This year the Peewee National are to be held Aug 20-24th in Coquitlam BC. Great work boys!
Novice Eagles Win Gold at "Wind it Up" Tournament
Our players played outstanding lacrosse going 4-0-1 in the tournament and facing some of the top teams on the Island. After a close semi final win over a very strong Saanich team our boys came out flying vs a strong JDF team building up a big lead and hanging on to claim the Gold. This team has come a long way since the start of the year with full credit to the team for working hard on the fundamentals and Coach Nelson for his tireless efforts.
