We are holding some FREE Female Box Lacrosse drop-in sessions and invite any girls to come and try it out.

We will have sticks and balls to use…all you need is to bring runners, a water bottle and a helmet (hockey helmet is fine).

All players will also need to have a waiver signed by their parent unless they are already registered for this year. I’ve attached a copy, but we will have them on hand.

Congrats to our 2 VELA Peewee boys Jordan Alexander and Cadel Gourlay who were recently selected to Team BC.

Making this team is a major accomplishment with a 2 stage selection process ending with a full 3 days training camp attended by over 80 of the top Peewee players in the province. This year the Peewee National are to be held Aug 20-24th in Coquitlam BC. Great work boys!

Our players played outstanding lacrosse going 4-0-1 in the tournament and facing some of the top teams on the Island. After a close semi final win over a very strong Saanich team our boys came out flying vs a strong JDF team building up a big lead and hanging on to claim the Gold. This team has come a long way since the start of the year with full credit to the team for working hard on the fundamentals and Coach Nelson for his tireless efforts.

Our Novice Eagles playing against the best teams on the Island had a strong showing at the Travis Bateman Tournament recently. They made it to the final 4 out of 14 teams and lost in the semi finals in an exciting match to the eventual tournament winners from Nanaimo.
